Working Groups
Cooperation within the COST Action is organised around six closely interconnected Working Groups
youth employment
We investigate youth employment realities. We will focus on the causes, enablers and barriers of youth disadvantaged position at the labour market.
starting a family
We identify adverse circumstances that might have an impact on family formation. In addition, we look into timing and realization of fertility intentions and focus on the dominant contextual factors from multi-disciplinary and cross-country perspectives.
becoming active citizens
We discuss social disadvantages in practicing active citizenship as evidenced by large-scale surveys and qualitative studies. In addition, we focus on how to mitigate effects of disadvantages through educational interventions.
youth
studies
We enhance youth research through comparative and mixed methods studies. In addition, we develop innovative ways to research youth (dis)advantage. We promote the exchange of research tools for investigating young people.
social investment
We analyze policies designed for young people to fully participate in the society. In addition, we develop policy initiatives to break vicious circle of disadvantage.
science communication
We connect research and practice. In addition, we provide guidance and policy recommendations to policy makers and stakeholders.

There are 32 countries in the YOUNG-IN network.
